22 Mar 1862 : John Henry Hooper & Bessie Morrow

  • At St Paul’s Church, Auckland, New Zealand, John Henry, son of the late Robert Little Hooper, Esq., M.D., of High Street, Newington, London, to Bessie, daughter of Hugh Morrow, Esq., J.P., late of the County of Longford, Ireland.

17 Jun 1862 : Charles J Dudgeon & Harriet Fleming

  • In Longford Presbyterian Church, Charles J Dudgeon, Esq., C.E. Madras Presidency, to Harriet, daughter of John Fleming, Esq., solicitor, Longford.

5 Oct 1862 : Henry West & Harriette Elizabeth Trench

  • In St Stephen’s Church, Dublin, Henry West, Esq., Q.C., Loughlinstown, in the County of Dublin, to Harriette Elizabeth, daughter of the Rev John Le. Poer Trench, Rector of Temple Michael, Diocese of Ardagh.

27 Nov 1862 : Thomas Gambell & Sophia Jeannette Gunn

  • At Ballinalea Church, Thomas Gambell Esq., Lieutenant 86th Regt., son of the late Henry T. Rogers, Esq., of Surgeview in the County Mayo, to Sophia Jeannette, daughter of Robert Gunn, Esq., of Lakeview House, County Longford, late of the 44th Regt.

(Note on this wedding: The marriage certificate recorded the wedding as taking place in the Church of Ireland, parish church, Clonbroney, Co. Longford on the 24 November 1862. Groom Thomas Gambell, Lieut 86 Regt, resident at Lake View House at the time of the marriage. Son of Henry Thomas Gambell, Capt 2nd Dragoons. Bride, Sophia Janette Grier, resident at Lake View House, daughter of Robert Grier, Lieut on halfpay of the 44th Regt.)
