Murroe Blacksmith Demonstration

Tony McGuires Forge, Murroe
Saturday 9th March 2013
11.30am – 4pm

“We lit a fire there for the first time in 48 years at last years Expo, it was a great and an emotional event for the McGuire family, as their father was the last blacksmith of the forge. The forge once again became the heart of the village,By Hammer and hand do all crafts stand.”

Traditional Blacksmith demonstration where a number of blacksmiths from around the country will converge and show case their skills,and bring this wonderful heritage building back to life, this is only a small part of the Boher/Murroe Expo 2013
